Ann is much loved and will always be remembered. She wished for donations to the Macular Society and this page is set up to honour her.

Diagnosed with Macular Disease in 2002, and having lost her central vision in one eye, Ann set up the Leamington Spa Macular Disease Support Group in 2005 at a time when treatment for this condition was not readily available locally. She wanted to ensure that nobody in her area would ever have to receive the devastating diagnosis without someone to turn to for help. 
 
She founded the local group, which still runs today, and ran it for five years, organising events and fostering a welcoming atmosphere where anyone with the condition could come and talk to others for advice and mutual support. She also ran the hotline and was the first point of contact for those newly diagnosed. She drew on her nursing and Health Visiting experience for this role, and her calm and caring manner provided support to many in her community.
